The widow of the Islamic State (IS) leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, has shared details about her life with the extremist leader. In a rare interview from prison, she described her experiences and the challenges she faced as the wife of the head of the IS group.

According to the BBC, the widow, Umm Hudaifa, was the first wife of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. She recounted her attempts to leave him but was unable to do so. She also described the moment when she saw her husband addressing the Great Mosque of al-Nuri in Mosul, Iraq, for the first time as the leader of the self-declared Islamic caliphate.
