Condolences for ‘gentle and pure-hearted’ Irish woman killed in NYC bar stabbing

A ‘sweet and innocent’ Irish woman who died after being stabbed in a New York City bar was named Sarah McNally, police have said.

Sarah, 41, from County Longford but living in Flushing, Queens, was attacked at the Céilí House Bar in Maspeth on Saturday.

The bartender was stabbed in the neck at about 6.30pm local time.

Police found her and an unidentified man suffering from stab wounds in the back and neck
