Arizona Senate candidate Kari Lake has said that if elected as President, Donald Trump will end the migrant ‘invasion’ and he is ‘the only way out of the mess that we’re in.’
It comes after Trump stormed to victory in the Iowa caucus, with more than half of voters backing the 77-year-old.
Lake spoke on GB News to Nigel Farage about Trump’s approach to border control: “It is an invasion and I am not sure that the people of Great Britain understand it.
“I think because our generation thought an invasion would look like warplanes flying over, people parachuting down, warships coming up to our shore, troops coming in. We have that going on at our border. We have military-age men coming over by the tens of thousands.
“I’m going to be honest, I don’t trust the government numbers. If they’re telling me 12 million, it’s got to be more than that. And I’ve seen it. I’m living in Arizona, which is a border state. We have to get this controlled.
“President Trump’s the man to do it. I lived there. I worked as an honest journalist for 27 years.
“I never saw that border more secure than under President Trump. And on day one, Joe Biden pulled that back.
