Haley announces she will vote for Trump, labels Biden ‘a catastrophe’

At a Hudson Institute event in Washington, Nikki Haley announced her intention to vote for Donald Trump in the upcoming election, despite criticizing some of his policies. Haley emphasized her priorities of supporting a president who backs America’s allies, secures the border, supports capitalism, and lowers national debt, arguing that while Trump has not been perfect, Biden’s presidency has been catastrophic. Haley, who ended her presidential bid in March without endorsing Trump, reiterated her belief that Trump should not take her supporters for granted and should actively reach out to them.

During her speech, Haley criticized both political parties for their growing isolationist tendencies, asserting that this worldview endangers America. She defended an interventionist foreign policy, praising House Speaker Mike Johnson for securing military aid for Ukraine and criticizing other Republicans for prioritizing border security over other issues. Haley also condemned Biden’s foreign policy decisions, including the Afghanistan withdrawal and pausing heavy bomb supplies to Israel. She plans to visit Israel soon to show support. Despite committing to vote for Trump, Haley maintains a critical stance and continues to advocate for her foreign policy views.
