Former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley mourns father’s passing on Father’s Day

Nikki Haley, the former Governor of South Carolina and United Nations Ambassador, has shared the heartbreaking news of her father’s passing on Father’s Day. In a social media post, Haley paid tribute to Ajit Singh Randhawa, calling him the “smartest, sweetest, kindest, most decent man I have ever known.”

Haley revealed that she had to say goodbye to her father on the morning of Father’s Day, a day meant to celebrate the bond between fathers and their children. The former governor expressed the heavy weight she felt upon her father’s passing, highlighting his 64-year marriage, his role as a loving grandfather and great-grandfather, and his unwavering commitment to his family and faith.

Ajit Singh Randhawa, an immigrant from India, moved to the United States in 1969 and settled in South Carolina. He was a retired professor and a beloved father to four children.
