E. Jean Carroll, flanked by her lawyers, Roberta Kaplan and Shawn Crowley, talked with MSNBC host Rachel Maddow on Monday about defeating Donald Trump in court and what she plans to do with the $83 million a jury awarded her for the former president’s defamatory statements.
“Oddly, we went into court and, amazingly, I looked out, and he was nothing,” Carroll said. “He was nothing. He was a phantom. It was the people around him who were giving him power. He himself was nothing. It was an astonishing discovery for me. He’s nothing. We don’t need to be afraid of him. He can be knocked down twice by this woman right here.”
Rachel Maddow asks E. Jean Carroll what she's going to do with "Trump's money" to help "women's rights."
Carroll says she and Maddow will "go shopping, get completely new wardrobes, new shoes…Rachel, what do you want, penthouse?"
