A scandal has emerged involving three players of the Argentina national football team, Thiago Almada, Exequiel Palacios, and Ángel Correa, who have been accused of assaulting a woman. The incident reportedly took place during a party in Puerto Madero, according to a Colombian journalist who uncovered the allegations while investigating legal cases against another Argentine player, Sebastián Villa, for gender violence and sexual abuse.

The journalist, Javier Hernández Bonnet, shared the revelations during a radio program, stating that his source, a reputable lawyer with knowledge of the Sebastián Villa case, also mentioned the serious allegations against the three players.

While the accusations have yet to be confirmed, the potential implications of such a scandal could impact the players’ careers, the Argentina national team, and their participation in upcoming tournaments. As of now, Ángel Correa and Exequiel Palacios are part of the group preparing for the 2024 Copa America, and Thiago Almada is among those selected for the Olympic Games Paris 2024, though none have been confirmed in the final list of players.
