Biden uses D-day anniversary to swat at Trump on veterans issues

President Biden marked the 80th anniversary of D-Day in France, celebrating American veterans who liberated Europe from Nazi Germany.

His campaign seized the moment to target former President Donald Trump. A new digital ad features three veterans who criticized Trump as a “draft dodger” and unfit for leadership, shortly after Trump was found guilty on 34 felony counts.

The ad, highlighting Biden’s approval of over a million claims for veterans injured by toxic exposures, is part of a $14 million advertising effort. The veterans’ denouncements emphasize Trump’s lack of accountability, contrasting with Biden’s leadership and support for veterans.
