Airport worker charged with felony theft after passenger traces missing bag to their home

A Florida man, Junior Geneus Bazile, 29, faces a felony grand theft charge in Broward County after a woman tracked her stolen luggage to his home using an electronic tracker.

The incident occurred at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in March when Paola Garcia’s flight was canceled, and her luggage went missing from the baggage belt.

Using her own electronic tracker, Garcia located her luggage at Bazile’s address in Fort Lauderdale but could not retrieve it directly; she noticed multiple pieces of luggage outside his home.

Garcia contacted the police, who advised her that it was dangerous to be at the address alone, leading to Bazile’s charge of grand theft in the third degree.
