Trump considers Texas Gov. Greg Abbott for Vice President spot

Former President Donald Trump has added another name to the growing list of his potential vice president picks.

While doing a joint interview during a visit to the southern border with Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, he told Fox News’ Sean Hannity that the Republican governor is “absolutely” included on his running mate shortlist.

When asked about other possible running mates, Mr. Trump started talking about Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina, whom he has praised before

“Tim, for himself, he was fine. He did OK as a candidate, but he didn’t want to talk about himself. He’s a very good man,” Mr. Trump said. “For me, he’s unbelievable. He’s a surrogate.”

Mr. Trump is the front-runner for the Republican nomination, with only former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley left as his competitor. He has beaten her so far in all the state primaries and caucuses, including in her home state.
