Twitter temporarily silences Navalny’s widow amidst Putin criticism

Yulia Navalnaya’s Twitter account, widow of Alexei Navalny, was temporarily suspended by the platform, alleging manipulation and spam.

Though restored, her account faced shadow banning, hindering search visibility and post views. Navalnaya vows to continue her husband’s resistance, holding Putin responsible for his death.

The ban occurred a day after Navalnaya joined Twitter. Other Navalny allies’ accounts remained unaffected. Navalny’s suspicious death in prison sparked global condemnation, with Biden accusing Putin. Russian authorities investigate while withholding Navalny’s body, denying assassination claims.

The incident underscores ongoing tensions between Kremlin critics and social media platforms.
