US putting nuclear warheads in UK is a political message to ‘full of s**t’ Putin

Washington’s move to station nuclear weapons in the United Kingdom is likely a political message to President Vladimir Putin of Russia, who a political expert tells TheMirror.com is all talk when it comes to using nukes himself. 

Daniel Lake, a professor of political science at the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, told TheMirror.com it’s likely the US is trying to send a message to the Russian leader, demonstrating its undying support for Ukraineamid Putin’s invasion. “It’s basically a political symbol,” Lake said. “By re-deploying the nuclear warheads, the US is sending a message to Vladimir Putin saying ‘we’re not going to back down on Ukraine’.”

Additionally, the move could also be intended to reaffirm ties with NATO allies and other European countries.

Lake scoffed at the possibility of a third world war, saying Putin’s nuclear weapons threats are empty as he’s been talking about the devastation he’s willing to bring upon Ukraine for two years now — he still has yet to fulfil his promises. “He’s full of sh**t,” Lake said. “Foreign leaders like Putin and Kim Jong un of North Korea like to issue nuclear threats for attention. But no leader has ever come up with a successful way to use a nuclear weapon…
