Court strikes out rights suit of Binance executive Anjarwalla who fled Nigeria

On Tuesday, the Abuja division of the Federal High Court dismissed Binance executive Nadeem Anjarwalla’s lawsuit against Nigerian authorities for fundamental rights violations.

Justice Inyang Ekwo struck out the case due to the absence of Mr. Anjarwalla and his lawyer, Tonye Krukrubo. Mr. Anjarwalla, Binance’s Africa regional manager, fled Nigeria on March 22 after filing the suit against the National Security Adviser and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Following his escape, his lawyer withdrew legal representation. Binance has not yet commented on the court’s decision.
