Man arrested for child abduction after girl, 14, who went missing is found

A man has been arrested after a teenage girl who went missing was found days later.

14-year-old Leah Mullins was reported missing on Friday morning (December 29) from Sherston, near Malmesbury in Wiltshire.

She’d last been seen getting into a car outside a pub on Sherston High Street, and Wiltshire Police launched an urgent missing person investigation.

On New Year’s Eve, officers found her at a home outside of the county and she is now safely in police care.

A man in his 20s was also arrested on suspicion of child abduction. He’s currently in police custody for questioning.

Leah was found hours after her mother, Sarah, publicly appealed for her safe return.
