Hallie Biden, the ex-partner of Hunter Biden and widow of his brother, will testify about using crack cocaine with Hunter, according to prosecutor Derek Hines during the gun trial’s opening statements.
Prosecutors allege Hallie discovered a Colt Cobra .38 handgun in Hunter’s truck in 2018 and disposed of it in a nearby grocery store trash bin.
Hunter Biden faces charges of making a false statement in purchasing a firearm, possessing a firearm as an unlawful user or addict of a controlled substance, and making a false statement on federal firearms dealer records.
Prosecutor Hines acknowledged that Hallie’s testimony would be “embarrassing” but deemed it necessary.
