Despite being hailed as a ‘leader’ by Johan Bakayoko, Lukaku has found comfort in Italy, where he spent the past two seasons on loan, showcasing his prowess with Inter and Roma.
Having rejoined Chelsea in 2021, Lukaku’s stint at the club has been underwhelming, making just 26 Premier League appearances and netting eight goals. However, the Belgian forward flourished during his spell at Roma this season, notching 21 goals across 47 appearances in all competitions, contributing significantly to Daniele De Rossi’s side securing a sixth-place finish in Serie A and Europa League qualification.
