Donald Trump could still lead America from behind bars as he said the “real verdict” will be the election result, following his damning guilty verdict in a New York City court.
The former US President was found guilty on all 34 felony counts in his criminal hush money trial against adult star Stormy Daniels.
Prosecutors said that Trump’s former lawyer Micheal Cohen paid the porn star £97,000 to keep quiet over her alleged 2006 tryst, ahead of the 2016 presidential election. These payments, they argued, were false logged as “legal expenses” to hide their true nature.
Trump doesn’t deny making the payments, however he has repeatedly denied having a romp with Daniels.
The business man, who has slammed the trial as a “disgrace” and insisted he’s a “very innocent man”, faces up to four years in prison.
