Former President Donald Trump’s fundraising page crashed shortly after his guilty verdict was announced. His team says it’s a show of the unwavering support voters have for him this election season.
The fundraising platform used by former President Donald Trump’s campaign crashed within an hour after his conviction — a technical issue his camp says shows voters’ unwavering support for the Republican presidential front-runner despite his guilty verdict.
Those trying to donate through Trump’s campaign site in the wake of the conviction were redirected to WinRed, the payment processing platform used by Trump and other conservative campaigns. And although the homepage seemed to be functioning, moving to donate to Trump’s campaign temporarily gave donors an error message.
“So many Americans were moved to donate to President Trump’s campaign that the WinRed pages went down,” the Trump campaign said in a post on X. “We are working on getting the website back online as quickly as possible.”
Trump’s campaign adviser, Chris LaCivita, encouraged donors seeing the error message to sign up for the former president’s text messaging list while the issue was being resolved.
If you are one of the millions of American Patriots wanting to donate to Donald Trump’s campaign and you get an error message from @WINRED …don’t give up! Log back on and try again ! or Text TRUMP to 88022 Help us send weak @JoeBiden packing !!!
