Inside infamous ‘inhumane’ jail ‘ready’ for Trump after hush money convictions

Donald Trump could be swapping the White House for the Big House as he becomes the first former US President to be convicted of a crime.

New York’s top dog, Mayor Eric Adams, has cheekily said that Rikers Island would be “ready” to welcome Trump should he get sentenced to jail time.

The sensational hush money saga that’s had Americans glued to their screens has just been one of four legal battles the would-be president is tangled up in.

Trump, already notorious as the only ex-president facing the music in court, is juggling his White House dreams with courtroom dramas as the November election race heats up.

With his guilty verdict, Trump’s etched yet another line in the history books, now on tenterhooks for sentencing.

Trump was banged to rights on 34 counts of falsifying business records in a scheme to illegally influence the 2016 election through hush money payments, with each charge carrying a possible four-year stretch inside.
