Putin ‘guarantees victory’ in Ukraine as he insists on being ‘half-a-step ahead’

Mad Vlad reckons ‘victory is guaranteed’ in his war with Ukraine if the Russian military can stay ‘half a step ahead’.

The Russian president told heads of his country’s defence industry enterprises that ‘efficiency increases’ if they accelerate the introduction of modern technologies to improve the army’s arsenal.

Speaking to leaders of the military-industrial complex in Moscow, he said: “I would like to emphasise again: we must be one step ahead all the time, we must be ahead of the enemy all the time, and then victory will be guaranteed.”

Putin met with the industrial leaders on Saturday to discuss supplies of weapons and equipment two years on since his invasion of Ukraine.

He told them that enterprises fulfill state defense order assignments on time and with high quality and for a number of positions – even ahead of schedule.
