Golfer Grayson Murray died of suicide, family confirms

The sports community mourns the loss of professional golfer Grayson Murray, whose family confirmed his death by suicide over the weekend. Murray, a two-time PGA Tour winner, passed away at the age of 30 on Saturday, just a day after withdrawing from the Charles Schwab Challenge in Fort Worth, Texas.

In a statement released on Sunday, Murray’s parents, Eric and Terry Murray, expressed their grief and shared insights into their son’s struggles. They acknowledged the challenges Grayson faced throughout his life and expressed their sorrow over his decision to take his own life. 

Despite the pain of their loss, they conveyed a sense of peace, stating, “although he took his own life, we know he rests peacefully now.” As the sports world grapples with this tragic news, Murray’s family hopes to raise awareness about mental health and the importance of seeking support during difficult times.
