In an unfortunate incident on Sunday, a Qatar Airways flight from Doha to Dublin encountered severe turbulence over Turkey, resulting in injuries to twelve individuals on board. The flight QR017, operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, managed to land safely at Dublin Airport just before 1 p.m. local time.
Emergency services, including airport police and fire and rescue teams, were on standby as the aircraft touched down, ready to provide immediate assistance.
Following the incident, all passengers were evaluated for injuries, with eight individuals subsequently requiring hospitalization. Dublin Airport authorities confirmed that the turbulence affected both passengers and crew members, with six from each group reporting injuries.
