Hamas has claimed responsibility for launching a “big” rocket attack on the Tel Aviv area in central Israel. According to the Israeli military, at least eight rockets were fired from the Rafah area in southern Gaza, with several being intercepted. Fortunately, no injuries were reported from this attack.
This marks the first time in nearly four months that Hamas has targeted central Israel. The attack coincides with an ongoing Israeli military operation in Rafah, which is taking place despite a ruling by the UN’s top court.
This escalation occurs as truce talks aimed at ending the conflict are scheduled to resume on Tuesday.
