Three Missionaries in Haiti are killed in gang attack

An Oklahoma-based missionary group, Missions in Haiti, experienced a tragic attack by gangs in Haiti’s capital on Thursday. The assault resulted in the deaths of two Americans and the organization’s director, as announced by the group on their Facebook page.

Missions in Haiti is involved in extensive charitable work, including running a school that serves 450 children, managing two churches, and operating a children’s home. These facilities are located in the Bon Repos neighborhood on the northern outskirts of Port-au-Prince, an area reportedly under the control of two local gangs.

The victims were the founders’ son, David Lloyd III, 23, known as Davy; his wife, Natalie Lloyd, 21; and the organization’s Haitian director, Jude Montis, 20, the group said. Ms. Lloyd is the daughter of a state representative in Missouri, Ben Baker.
