Steph Curry has unfollowed Diddy on Instagram after the turmoiled U.S. rapper has admitted to beating his ex-girlfriend and popstar Cassie amid abuse allegations.
According to celebrity and entertainment-focused X account ‘Say Cheese!’, the NBA player removed Diddy from his following base on X and Instagram on Tuesday – just a month after Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes did the same thing.
Last week, Diddie shared a video of himself apologizing for beating his ex-partner Cassie, whom he dated from 2007 to 2018, in a hotel hallway in 2016 after CNN released footage of the attack, saying he was ‘truly sorry’ and describing his actions as ‘inexcusable.’
The security video shows Combs, wearing only a white towel, punching and kicking Cassie, an R&B singer, before shoving and dragging her, and throwing a vase in her direction.
Cassie, whose legal name is Cassandra Ventura, sued Combs in November over what she said was years of sexual, physical and emotional abuse. The suit was settled the next day, but spurred intense scrutiny of Combs, with several more lawsuits filed in the following months, along with a federal criminal sex-trafficking investigation that led authorities to raid Combs’ mansions in Los Angeles and Miami.
