A massive hunt has been launched near the River Tyne to find two teenage boys who vanished while swimming in Ovingham.
According to authorities at around 3.30pm today two teenage boys came into difficulty in the water near to Ovingham Bridge, in Northumberland.
Emergency services including ambulance, police and fire and rescue crews are currently at the scene.
Road closures are in place and people have been asked to avoid the area.
Teams are currently on scene at an ongoing incident at the river Tyne near Ovingham. 2 Swift Water Rescue units from Pegswood, an appliance from Prudhoe and a number of senior officers are present.
