Former Senator Joe Lieberman dies

Former Sen. Joe Lieberman has died following a fall at his home in Stamford, Connecticut, his family said. He was 82.

Lieberman served four terms in the U.S. Senate from 1989 to 2013 and was Al Gore’s vice presidential running mate in the 2000 election. The former senator remained politically active after leaving Congress, having been a co-chair of the centrist organization No Labels.
