Russian ambassador claims US didn’t provide any specific information prior to the attack
“Nothing was passed,” said Anatoly Antonov, Russia’s Ambassador to the United States, to TASS news agency, when asked about information sharing from the US side.
He emphasized, “No concrete information, nothing was transferred to us.”
In response, a U.S. State Department official stated on Saturday that the US government adhered to its “duty to warn” policy by sharing information about a potential attack with Russian authorities.
This exchange occurred before the deadly attack at a Moscow venue on Friday, which claimed the lives of at least 133 people and left dozens more injured. Rescue efforts are ongoing to locate survivors amidst the rubble.
